FGC UES to invest 5.3 bln rbl in 220 kV power line for BAM
MOSCOW, Mar 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System has launched construction of a 320-kilometer 220-kilovolt (kV) 5.3 billion ruble power transmission line in the Irkutsk Region that will transmit power to the Baikal–Amur Mainline (BAM), the company said in a statement on Friday.
The line will also connect the western power district of the republic of Yakutia to the power system of Siberia and create opportunities for technological connection of consumers of the northern districts of the Irkutsk Region, including facilities of the East Siberia–Pacific Ocean oil pipeline, to power grids, the company said.
